Introduction to pavement-types-factors affecting design and performance of pavements. Highways and airport pavements, subgrade and climate, stresses and deflections in flexible pavements, flexible pavements design methods for highways and airports, stresses in rigid pavements, rigid pavement design, and use of advanced computer software for the design of flexible and rigid pavements.
